One of the most important meeting places for Hungarian actors in Slovakia is Karva, where the Summer Youth Theater Camp opens its doors again. Between July 30 and August 8, young amateur actors will take over the dormitory of the vocational secondary school in Karva, where they will work for nine days to learn the basics of acting as thoroughly as possible.

"Mostly, we welcome members of student acting groups. It is important to point out that there is work going on in this camp - of course there is also fun, but we consider it important to educate the students in self-discipline and humility, which are closely related to acting... - says the main organizer Mónika Csengel Bajkai, who also draws attention to , that there are still a few free places in the Karva camp, but there is no harm in applying.

Interested people come to the camp from all corners of the country, the mornings are usually spent deepening the technical exercises: speech technique, creative music and stage movement play the main role, and in the afternoon the directors and drama teachers hold group sessions.

"Our important goal is to contribute to raising the level of student performances. Moving slightly away from the theater panels, we strive to introduce the participants to really advanced drama pedagogic methods.
