So far, more than 10,000 registered jobseekers under the age of 25 have applied for help in finding a job in the Enterprise workforce support program, Sándor Bodó told MTI on Friday.

The state secretary responsible for employment policy of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, according to the ministry's announcement, said that so far companies have requested about HUF 10 billion in support to hire a total of 19,000 workers.

As of June 1, the government has made the labor support of Enterprises available to an even wider range of people, which can be applied for, in addition to young jobseekers, after the employment of every jobseeker who has been registered for at least one month. The program, launched in October last year, has become even more popular by simplifying the conditions, the ITM announced, indicating that almost every second application was received in the summer, and in June and July, employers requested HUF 5 billion in support.

In the case of full-time employment, the level of labor support of Enterprises is half of the wage cost - that is, the gross wage and social contribution tax - but no more than HUF 100,000. Instead of the previous five months, employers can receive the subsidy, which can reach up to HUF 600,000 in total, for half a year.

Sándor Bodó emphasized that Hungary produced the best employment data in the first quarter of 2021 since the system change. According to the indicators compiled by Eurostat, the domestic employment level of 77.7 percent exceeds the average of the European Union by almost six percentage points. He added that since the peak of June last year, it has decreased by more than 110,000 people, and with the restart of the economy, the number of registered job seekers may decrease even further. Among the 15-24 year olds, 272,000 are working, more than a year ago. "The youth unemployment rate, which was close to 30 percent before 2010, has now been reduced to less than half," said the state secretary.

You can always apply for Enterprise workforce support at the employment departments of the locally competent district offices. The detailed conditions and documentation are available on the munka.hu website.
