Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Radio Kossuth Good morning, Hungary! he talked about the government's latest measures in his show. The government decided to create the Hungarian recovery fund within the economic protection fund and launch the programs that would be financed by the European recovery fund.

Laws on children's rights are a matter of national competence

The child protection referendum is necessary because Brussels attacked Hungary, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in an interview with Kossuth Radio. According to the prime minister, the laws on family law and children's rights fall under national competence, but the union does not take this into account.

"Either we give in or we don't, and since the future of our children is at stake, we cannot give in," Viktor Orbán said, adding that we need everyone's support to win this battle, and that's why the referendum is needed.

Viktor Orbán pointed out that there was already an example of this, as the people stood behind the government even during the mandatory distribution of migrants. "At that time, Hungary protected the whole of Europe from the mandatory distribution of migrants".

According to Viktor Orbán, the 54-page Brussels memorandum reveals that

the European Commission wants us to let LGBTQ lobbyists into schools,

because they have the right to do so. However, Hungary does not accept this, because we believe that it is the parent's right to decide how to raise their child.

" Same-sex cohabitation is everyone's private matter, but adults cannot do anything about children. The task of the parents is to protect the children, and the task of the state is to support the parent in this, " Viktor Orbán said.

They also want advertisements related to homosexuality to be shown to children, or to be able to convey statements about gender change to young people at a very young age. According to the Prime Minister, this is how things are going in the West today, but Hungarian parents should be given the opportunity to decide for themselves when to introduce this to their children.

Viktor Orbán added,

yes, let's stand up for the fact that the education of Hungarian children belongs only to Hungarians.

They must acknowledge that there are nations and peoples in the world, and their culture and history must be respected. We are a European people and we expect respect. The fact that they are blackmailing us financially is completely unacceptable, he said.

Brussels can only delay the recovery money

EU recovery funds will be delayed by at least two months due to the Child Protection Act.

This money belongs to us, "they can delay it, but they can't stop giving it", so the government decided to start the same programs that it had already approved with Brussels. "We will pay it if money comes from Brussels, if not," emphasized the prime minister. A protracted ideological war is to be expected.

Everyone should be informed and form their own opinion, then go to the referendum. A boycott makes no sense now. The law already exists, now we want to protect it. " If we boycott, we leave it up to the others, " he explained.

Viktor Orbán pointed out that the Minister of the Interior has said everything about the Pegasus case.

The fourth wave has begun, the borders cannot be closed airtight

Those who have passed both vaccinations make up more than 55 percent of the population. The fourth wave has started in Western Europe, and since we cannot seal the borders airtight, they will be dragged in at the border, he pointed out.

Since we have enough vaccines, any Hungarian citizen can request the third vaccination from the first of August . We make this possible for everyone. We have to deal with the elderly separately again. We will look for the 15 percent who have not been vaccinated.

Mandatory vaccination is the most controversial issue

the mandatory vaccination of healthcare workers , he said that this is one of the most controversial matters. At first he didn't agree with him either, but Miklós Kásler, the Minister of Human Resources, convinced him with strong arguments. Among other things, that until now there have been mandatory vaccinations for healthcare workers.

Regarding the Olympics, he said that without spectators, it is not the same as before.

If Hungary were to organize this Olympics, there would be spectators.

He added that he will certainly get up and watch, but he will not travel to Tokyo.

" Come on, Hungarians! ", he concluded the interview with encouraging words.
