This summer, young people can participate in 1,300 church camps, pilgrimages and longer weekend trips with the help of the government's HUF 520 million subsidy - announced the State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office responsible for church and ethnic relations in Szerencs, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, where he greeted Greek-Catholic campers from Nyírbátor in Rákóczi Castle.

Miklós Soltész said: these programs strengthen national consciousness, the children were able to get to know, for example, II. With the life of Prince Ferenc Rákóczi, they were also able to visit Tokaj, Boldogkőváralja and Vizsoly, where, among other things, they could take part in church and castle visits as well as experience-based history lessons. This knowledge will slowly settle in them, and later they can become adults who love their country, who are Christian believers or who respect Christianity.

Miklós Soltész emphasized that although Western Europe is at a higher level in terms of economic and living standards, it is increasingly losing its culture and Christianity. We want to present to our children what is unique to this region, Central Europe and the Balkans, i.e. a centuries-old cultural, religious and historical tradition that points in the same direction despite its diversity - emphasized the politician from the ruling party, adding that these programs and camps all serve this opportunity.
