Katalin Novák, the minister without portfolio responsible for families, in a video published on her social media page, informed about how the government helps families in which only one parent is raising children.
"The meaningful organization of the ten weeks of the summer vacation is a serious challenge for every family. This is especially true for families where one parent takes care of the children. 50 children can participate in the day camps of the Single Parent Center per week with state support."
For the one-week camp, only a nominal sum of HUF 1,500 has to be paid, so the government not only provides safe supervision and a meaningful program for the children, but also provides financial support to these families.
