In a statement sent through his Save America campaign team, former US President Donald Trump indicated that he supports Viktor Orbán in his re-election campaign. Hetek.hu reports that the Hungarian Prime Minister is doing a wonderful job in Hungary .
"Viktor Orbán really loves his country and wants security for Hungarian society," reads the statement that Donald Trump's staff sent to the press on Monday. In the supporting message, Trump writes that the Hungarian Prime Minister is doing a "wonderful job" by stopping illegal immigration, boosting trade and creating jobs.
"He should be allowed to continue this work in the upcoming elections," the statement continues. According to Trump, Orbán is a strong leader who is respected by many people.
"I fully support him and his re-election as Prime Minister"
- the former president of the United States concludes his announcement.
Earlier, Viktor Orbán also publicly supported Trump's presidential ambitions. In 2016, he was the first European leader to endorse the American presidential candidate.
