Prior to Sunday's inauguration mass, Emil Balázs Len, deputy mayor of Gyergyószentmiklós, greeted the new archdeacon as a church councilor. "Today is a celebration of joy among our community, because we were not left without a shepherd. I thank Father Archbishop for taking care of our community. We thank the good God that the continuity in the life of our community is not interrupted, that there is someone to continue the work that has been done so far. We welcome our new leader and supervisors with love and openness. Today is such a day, it's all a confirmation of an alliance - said the church councilor in his welcoming speech. Archdeacon György Dávid took the solemn oath at the holy mass, and after him the members of the church council also took a vow that they would serve the good of the community and God with the best of their knowledge and faith.

Archbishop Gergely Kovács, in connection with the Gospel read at the Sunday Mass, asked the faithful of Györgyószentmiklós to pray that God would strengthen their faith and feed them with the Bread of Life. At the end of the mass, György Dávid, now as the new archdeacon of St. Nicholas Parish, thanked Archbishop Gergely Kovács for his presence and support in the name of assistant pastor Zsombor Fülöp and his fellow priest Balázs György, who were also newly assigned to St. Nicholas Parish. The new archdeacon also spoke about his feelings upon hearing the news of his transfer. "Prayer and providence, words of encouragement from family and friends helped me to say yes". He emphasized that a part of Pope Francis' speech in Csíksomlyo provided the motivation and basis for his decision.

Pilgrimage is nothing more than feeling the invitation and the urge to walk together on the road, asking for grace along the way to transform our old and current grievances and mistrust into new opportunities for the sake of the community, said the new dean.

György Dávid asked for the support of the members of the church council, the faithful and the lay leaders, so that they can work together to build the kingdom of God together.
