The Maros Organization of the Romanian Hungarian Farmers' Association held a wheat gathering ceremony on Saturday afternoon in the inner courtyard of the Kemény Castle in Marosvécs. The wheat collected from the settlements of Maros county was consecrated in connection with the Bread of the Magyars – 15 million grains of wheat movement.  

The speaking politicians and professionals spoke about bread as a symbol of life, and they repeatedly emphasized how important wheat, bread made from wheat, is for the Hungarian people, not only during the past centuries, but also today.

Miklós Fazakas, the president of the host organization, emphasized the sense of belonging, Mihály Levente Kovács, the vice-president of the Maros county municipality, the helpful intention with which the donors help the needy. "With bread, we donate life, so that next year there will be those who sow and reap and also those who eat the bread," he said. Member of Parliament Éva Andrea Csép addressed the farmers who united for the Hungarians' bread, Senator Károly Kolcsár expressed his gratitude that bread is on our table every day.
