László Bíró, who would have made a name for himself in electoral district number 6 of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, is withdrawing from running in the primary elections, the Jobbik politician known for his anti-Semitic and racist statements announced on his social media page. The judge explained his decision by saying that "he knows there is someone more suitable than him".

"With this, I take one step back so that the nation and Borsod can take two steps forward." I withdraw from running in the primary election in favor of Gábor Jézsó. I informed Péter Jakab, Jobbik's candidate for prime minister, about my decision, and he accepted it, said the Jobbik politician.

As is well known, László Bíró ran in Szerencs in Borsod in last fall's by-elections, who a few years ago talked about "loose slides" in connection with Jewish tourists and called Budapest "Judapest". In addition, based on the complaint of Ákos Hadházy and István Tényi, the National Tax and Customs Administration ordered an investigation against him on suspicion of budget fraud, according to which he may have harmed employees by abusing EU subsidies.

In addition to the politician from Jobbik, Ágnes Kunhalmi, Péter Jakab and Gergely Karácsony also campaigned last year.
Mazsihisz and Miklós Gáspár Tamás, led by András Heisler, distanced themselves from the previous candidate. Bíró's withdrawal also means that Jobbik will definitely support the socialist Gábor Jézsó in the primary election in Borsod, joining the Everyone's Hungary Movement led by Péter Márki-Zay. This is interesting if only because the MSZP politician specifically ran against Bíró in the election on July 5.

Not only László Bíró was accused of Nazism: his Szeged candidate, Péter Tóth, had also made serious racist statements before. Back in 2014, 24.hu reported that Tóth, among other things, publicly demanded racial protection on his own social media page, "bibsied", and glorified the Greek neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party.

Responding to a newspaper article that presented Jews as the world's problem, Tóth said that "they saw the problem as early as 1920
". In connection with the Tavares report, the rightist wrote that "the Portuguese from Bibsi have nothing better to do than drag us down".

Péter Tóth has also made hateful and insulting statements about gays in the past. In 2013, in connection with the Pride parade, he said: "We will fight to the end against liberal scum and genetic waste."
