The song play János Háry will be presented for the first time this Saturday in Komárom, at the Egressy Béni Civic Center. Before the premiere on August 21, Felvidék.ma's staff talked with Jászai Mari award-winning actor Mátyás Dráfi, the director of the play.
As you can read, with the song play realized with the financial support of the Hungarian Government , the Hungarian word and Hungarian acting are brought to even the smallest corner of Felvidék, with the unwavering belief that theater is one of the most effective means of spreading the Hungarian language and culture.
"All this at an age when Hungarian is on the decline," added Máytás Dráfi. The worthy artist also spoke about how one of the missions of the Theater is to work together with young people.
In the Kodály piece to be presented on Saturday, the Dunakeszi Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Pál Farkas, and the young dancers of the Aranykert folk dance group from Bős will perform, choreographed by Klára Gábor and Zoltán Bernáth from South Komárom. Komárom soloist Tamás Pfeiferlik plays the title role, Lilla Kinga Csizmadia and Eszter Forgó play Örzsé.
In addition to directing the play, Mátyás Dráfi will appear as the old obsitos in the play, since, as he jokingly noted,
"I CAN'T PLAY THE YOUNG CHRONICLE AGAIN AT THE AGE OF 80".
The scenery was created by the painter Tibor Kopócs, practically in such a way that it corresponds to the various stages during the orientations.
With the permission of the Kodály heirs, the live musical performance can be taken to places where there is no orchestra pit, i.e. the conditions for hosting a symphony orchestra are not met. "For this, I had to ask for special permission from Sárika, Zoltán Kodály's widow living in Budapest, who said yes," he added.
Mátyás Dráfi revealed that he is looking forward to the premiere, the reason for this being that the widow of Zoltán Kodály, singer Sarolta Péczely, will also be present.
The latest show of the Teatrum Theater Civic Association and the Egressy Béni City Cultural Center in North Komárom will take place on August 21, starting at 7:00 p.m.
