Transindex.ro employee Árpád Kulcsár tried to talk to the monk about current social problems in Gyergyószentmiklós. We share a detail from this.

The question did not refer to this, but whether it is necessary to stand up for the persecuted and stigmatized? For example, in the case of refugees or, more recently, gays. For example, the Pope has repeatedly defended them in recent years. As if this does not happen in Transylvania and Hungary.

"I didn't stand up for heterosexuals or other sexual orientations either."

Let's just say that nobody hurts heterosexuals.

– I have often heard ugly comments from the liberal side about those who have two or three children. You could also stand by them. At the moment, the problem is not what the people of Székely think about gays.

It can be a problem for the gay person who is being thought of.

"His problem is what he thinks of himself." But it seems to me that no one deals with this. This is a rubber bone that some liberals or other media have made up and want to talk about. Although there are real problems that should be solved. I haven't had a child or a colleague come to me with such a problem that they would molest them because of something like that, but they already have with such a problem that they don't have anything to eat, or that their father drinks, their mother smashed their heads. If they come with these problems, I will solve them. There have already been examples of them coming up with something like that, and I'm trying to solve these on my own level.

I'm trying to tell you a problem that you might think is realistic. There is now a big debate about the introduction of sex education in schools. When it came up a year ago, a RMDSZ politician told me that the members of parliament were called by the Catholic bishops on the phone, telling them to vote against it. What do you think about sex education?

"That premarital sex is a sin."

But sexual education does not exactly mean premarital sex.

"I think so." We also hold private lessons, and I even wrote a book entitled The Path of Love, I will tell you my opinion. If you have a different opinion on this, express yours. I will neither attack nor refute. If I'm selling tomatoes at the market, don't expect me to comment on kiwis. In parentheses, I will tell you that I was in San Francisco, there is a Hungarian school there, I gave a lecture there. The rainbow flag is flying on every pole in the city, and I asked if that solved the problem, is there less trouble? The lawyers said that nothing has been resolved and that there are many more problems because everyone was allowed all kinds of things. I don't see why you should go in that direction.

What problem does the possibility of civil marriage for gays raise, for example?

"Alright, I'll finish this topic." There are a lot of problems, why do we need to chew on a rubber bone?

Five percent of people are gay, as many as Hungarians in Romania.

"I want to deal with the ninety-five percent!" No one hurts them, there is no problem anywhere. Hungarian legislation has just confused homosexuality with pedophilia, and they are preparing to do the same in Romania. This can be quite hurtful.

"I read that law, there is nothing wrong with it." That's a lie.

I understand, but….

"Sorry, but now you want your problem to be mine."
