At the moment, his chief of staff, Samu Balogh, is explaining himself, who,
when asked by a journalist, expressed himself as the magic of the live broadcast. it will be temporary.

On the other hand, according to the head of the cabinet, the tram-friendly program will not be abolished, it will only be temporarily suspended for about a month.
Gergely Karácsony can give another reason for explanation, who in an interview with Népszava, referring to the Basic Law, stated: if he becomes prime minister, he will not swear to it. This is a significant turnaround compared to his previous actions, since in the fall of 2014 he had no problem with the Basic Law, he took the oath without any problems when he was elected mayor of Zugló.

Gergely Karácsony's other big announcement last week, the possibility of canceling the World Athletics Championships, was also denied by international lawyer Tamás Lattmann in the ATV News. The Hungarian government, the Hungarian Athletics Association and the International Athletics Association concluded a contract for the event, in which the capital has no say. As the Magyar Hírlap previously pointed out, the mayor has no direct authority in this matter.

"The government can organize the World Athletics Championships even without the capital, as the International Athletics Federation has agreed with the government on the organization," Tamás Lattmann stated in the program, adding at the same time that he can still indirectly prevent the World Championships from being held, since the the association can reconsider the contract if the host city does not have the support.

The specialist emphasized: although a political agreement was reached between the capital's leadership and the government, Budapest can cancel this, but at the same time, it does not have any legal instrument in its hands that could prevent the settlement.
