If they come with these problems, I will solve them," Franciscan monk Csaba Böjte told Transindex.ro regarding the problems of homosexuals.

- More than 25 years have passed since he started helping children. What has changed during this time? Are there positive processes? To what extent should the church take on a role in the reception and education of orphaned children?

– There are negative and positive things. For example, the average income has improved a lot in the last decades, people are now mostly able to support their children. The negative is that they have far fewer children than in the past, when mining families of 8-10 people were not uncommon in the Zsíl Valley. What was still a problem in the 1990s doesn't even arise today. Whether this is good or bad is a big question.

- In a recent interview, he said that the low birth rate is not necessarily a problem. As an example, he gave the population growth of the 1920s and 1930s, saying that what happened during the Second World War...

– I see that everything has improved since 1990, only the indicators of having children have worsened.
I don't see this as important because of the number of pieces, but because when a child is born, a mother and father are also born on Earth. Anyone who becomes a mother or a father goes through a leap in quality that he did not expect. A person does not become an adult by turning 18, but becoming an adult includes taking on the burden of carrying a life, and thus our life can be fulfilled in a community. My father was killed by the communists, I have been an orphan since I was five years old. All opportunities were taken away from my mother, the poor woman worked in three shifts at the textile factory in Csík.

I could also say that he suffered a lot of trauma. I used to tell the children that if they go anywhere to work, the dog won't be curious about what their childhood was like either. If you are a baker, they want to know what kind of bread you bake, if you are a hairdresser, what kind of hairstyle you do. You can't make a living by licking our wounds and pointing at each other. You have to look ahead. You have to get back on your feet, you have to overcome difficulties. If difficulty overcomes you, then maybe they will feel sorry for you, you will be a tragic hero, but people will get bored.
