The European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) has started an investigation into the case of Katalin Cseh, Fidesz member of the European Parliament Tamás Deutsch announced on his social media page on Sunday.

The politician reminded: at the beginning of August, he filed a report with OLAF in the case of Katalin Cseh, due to a well-founded suspicion of fraud involving European Union public funds.

Tamás Deutsch wrote: " It turned out that a company led by Katalin Cseh and the business circle of the company of the Cseh family operated as a network of companies systematically siphoning domestic development resources and EU subsidies ."

It also turned out, he added, that between 2013 and 2018, Katalin Cseh ran a company that won EU funds in reference to the organization of the Hungarian Olympics, and she ran this company during this period, "while at the same time with her party, she sabotaged the Hungarian Olympics in 2017. " in ".

In addition, it turned out that the technology, for the development of which the Czech family's company won significant EU funds, already existed before, and even belonged to a network of companies connected to the family's business, wrote the Fidesz politician.

Tamás Deutsch stated that OLAF has now informed him by letter that it has started the preparation of the investigation of " the Katalin Czech case " and has requested additional data and information about " the suspected corruption case ".

OLAF is obviously competent to investigate the case, since a member of an EU institution (in this case a representative of the European Parliament) is involved in the case, and the company led by Katalin Cseh, and "according to the well-founded suspicion, the company network consisting of companies related to the company colluded in order to obtain EU funds fraudulently ," informed Tamás Deutsch.
