Prime Minister Viktor Orbán sent a letter to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and the citizens of Poland on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Poland. According to the Prime Minister, the fraternal relationship between the Hungarian and Polish peoples is exemplary.

"November 11 is a special holiday, as this day symbolizes the realization of the dream of creating a free and sovereign country. On this day, we Hungarians pay tribute to the self-sacrificing struggle of the Polish patriots fighting for independence, and we see the restoration of the independence of the Polish state as the restoration of historical truth," wrote Viktor Orbán.

As he put it, he considers the brotherhood between the Hungarian and Polish people to be exemplary through shared historical experiences, and he expressed his conviction that "the ties that hold us together are much stronger than the efforts that intend to divide us."
