The left has no chance in next year's parliamentary elections, the Fidesz EP representative told journalists in Kötcsé, Somogy County on Saturday, before the Civic Picnic of the Foundation for Civil Hungary.
Tamás Deutsch added in front of the Dobozy manor, where the event took place: "we have a chance, but no big chance ever comes true by itself, you have to work hard for it. The entire civil, national, Christian-democratic camp is ready for this".
In response to a question, he noted: it is not impossible to reach two-thirds, but "if someone becomes an Olympic champion without a world record, then we are not sad". The important thing is the victory, if it succeeds with another two-thirds, it's the icing on the cake, he said.
He also said that he considered a two-thirds victory for the opposition out of the question. "There won't be much more of a difference between the opposition and the governing parties than a peasant's hair, and they won't be the first, I'm quite sure of that," he added.
