Another day, another completely baseless political statement by the European Parliament! Justice Minister Judit Varga published her Facebook post with this title last night.

As he writes, it seems that they are not expanding, it still hurts the EP that Hungary does not allow any kind of sexual propaganda into public educational institutions, schools, and kindergartens by virtue of the Child Protection Act. It bothers them that we resist pressure and the LGBTQ lobby.

The upbringing of children is the sole responsibility of the parent and this is stated in Article 14 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. Would this be so difficult to understand in Brussels?

In the resolution voted today, the European Parliament wants to say what we consider to be marriage and family, and they also want to have a say in the child-parent relationship. Again, they want to give us instructions from above on issues that fall under national competence. The fact that the EP is repeatedly waving the procedure according to Article 7 in its hands is just icing on the cake.

It is important to state that according to Article I (1) of the Basic Law, the "inviolable and inalienable fundamental rights of HUMANS must be respected. Their protection is the primary obligation of the state". Hungary therefore protects human rights at the highest possible level, which is why this political hysteria on the part of the European Parliament is pointless. The facts are on our side.

In Hungary, all adults live as they wish based on their own decisions and worldview. However, raising children is the exclusive right of the parents. We won't let that happen!
