At today's plenary session of the European Parliament, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen presented the EU achievements of the past period, challenges and the EU priorities of the near future in her annual assessment speech entitled "The State of the Union".

In the debate following the speech, Tamás Deutsch , the leader of the Fidesz European Parliament group, said: "It is completely unacceptable that Brussels wants to settle its disputes with the countries of the Central European region with the word of power!" . In his speech, the leader of the delegation touched on the fact that the countries and citizens of the Central European region do not complain even when representatives of the European ideological mainstream look down on them with the superiority typical of colonialists. And not even when 70 million Central European people will be attacked politically and legally with all kinds of pretexts , even though this is the situation.

The head of the delegation emphasized: "Everything they do, as they abuse the power of Brussels, in an anti-democratic and illegal way, they want to impose their will on us in relation to gender, migration, the undermining of our national and constitutional sovereignty, the imperial tendencies of Brussels; all this undermines and even destroys European cooperation and destroys the unity of the Union" . "And for us, freedom-loving and patriotic Central Europeans, European cooperation and the unity of the Union are too important to allow it to be systematically dismantled," emphasized Tamás Deutsch.
