Political service paid off handsomely for Gergely Karácsony, as the mayor was able to teach at Corvinus University for ten years, without proper qualifications, in addition to the orders given to his family company by the left-liberal governments.

Based on the appointment documents obtained by the Hungarian Nation, Gergely Karácsony earned a total of almost HUF 25 million during his career as a university lecturer.

After the investigation by the Office of Education determined that neither the teaching assistant's appointment nor the assistant professor's appointment complied with the university's internal regulations and legal requirements, it can be clearly stated that Karácsony took these 25 million forints illegally.

Regarding the amount, the Mediaworks Hírcentrum tried again yesterday in Hatvan to get Karácsony to speak, to whom even Lajos Korózs of the camo video couldn't help.

As Magyar Nemzet already reported, and later confirmed by OH, from January 1, 2004, the office checked the legal status of thirty-two lecturers at Budapest's Corvinus University, of whom only Gergely Karácsony did not meet the conditions necessary for employment.

The appointment of the teaching assistant did not comply with the institutional regulations, because he did not have at least one type C language exam or an equivalent state-recognized certificate. The appointment of assistant professor also proved to be irregular, because Karácsony did not start the legal relationship as a doctoral candidate based on the available documents.

According to the regulations, the appointment conditions should have stipulated that Karácsony establish a legal relationship as a doctoral candidate within three years, otherwise he will be dismissed from his position. However, this did not happen by the deadline; later, on August 31, 2014, Karácsony himself initiated the termination of the legal relationship by mutual agreement.

The mayor - who is also one of the candidates for prime minister in the pre-election charade - constantly deflected journalists' questions and tried to shift the responsibility to Corvimus University. According to him, if any illegality occurred, it was not committed by him, but by the higher education institution.

He also referred to the fact that no one demanded such conditions from him when he was employed at the university, and his contract did not include any regulations that are mentioned as deficiencies in the investigation report of the Office of Education.

Later, when asked by a Mediaworks Hírcentrum reporter, he also made false statements about his salary. Karácsony said: he earned approximately HUF 100,000 per month as a university lecturer. Now this issue has also been clarified, the salary amounts for the given period are clearly stated on the appointment documents.
