"The future of Europe lies in children, not in digitalization, so it should not be accepted that the EU will make up for the shortage of children with migrants," the prime minister told Kossuth Radio Good morning, Hungary! in his show on Friday. Viktor Orbán also spoke about the fact that, if appropriate, the affected people can get back the full 13th month pension taken away by the Gyurcsány-Bajnai government next year.

It should not be accepted that, instead of our own children, Europe uses migrants to make up for the missing population decline and the presence of children, explained the Prime Minister. Hungarian family policy is unorthodox, special and unprecedented in Europe, we spend the most on family policy, everyone is interested in how we do it, whether it works. The number of abortions decreased by 41 percent, the number of marriages increased, and the fertility rate also reached the level of 2.5. But the results of our family policy will be seen in the long term in a decade at the earliest, he explained.

It is unacceptable that we bring someone from the interior of Africa instead of a missing Hungarian child.

"This is a purely mathematical approach," he said, and then added: this can still be said in Hungary, but in the West he would have been stretched, saying that he spoke hate speech, even though he only loves his own nation.

Regarding the LGBTQ lobby's criticism of the family, the Prime Minister responded as follows: he also understands the lives of LGBTQ people, so it is necessary to ensure that they have a life worthy of a human being, but at the same time they should not be the general value system.

– We do not accept that they raise our children, or that they tell us what should be in schools. This is the parents' job, he emphasized, and then added: he asks LGBTQ people to be satisfied with the fact that they have a decent and non-disadvantaging policy in Hungary, but don't want to tell us how to raise children in Hungary .

Responding to the five pillars of family policy, the Prime Minister said: the most important idea is that those who have children should live better. Today, many people still think that having children does not add to life financially, but takes away from it, because it involves a lot of costs, he said. Viktor Orban. At the same time, she emphasized: she admires women who try to get by by combining career and motherhood.

He reminded that if the government does not introduce regulations that help women who have children to live better economically, then the motivation to have children will be lost. "We have to realize that people also live on bread." The government should help young people to start a family, he said. I am fighting for families, so that we can get to the point where those who have children are really in a more advantageous economic situation.

The Prime Minister also talked about how the pandemic has tormented everyone, but it was the hardest for those who have children. Hats off to the families! he added. They have borne very heavy burdens, and now that the restart has succeeded beyond all expectations, a decision must be made about what to do with the extra income. It would be fairest if the parents of the children were to get back the taxes they paid , said the prime minister. The national consultation supported this.

Viktor Orbán also indicated that the government had two large debts, but this was not caused by the current one: it had to be proven that the previous Gyurcsány-Bajnai era was over. At least one month's salary and one month's pension had to be returned , he added. We want to achieve a minimum wage increase of almost 20 percent, but this requires help from the government. If we raise the minimum wage incorrectly, it will lead to unemployment.

Perhaps we will try to return the 3rd and 4th weekly pension to the pensioners next year, so that I can stand before the voters as if the Gyurcsány-Bajnai era has been overcome for good, said the prime minister.

Viktor Orbán said about the coronavirus epidemic that there will be a fourth wave. We know the virus almost as well as it knows us. Only vaccination helps, but those who do not believe this do not vaccinate themselves. According to the prime minister, the unvaccinated are exposed to a serious disease. He asked everyone to get vaccinated because he was taking a risk. For the time being, there will be no mandatory vaccination, because it would meet resistance in Hungary.

The only responsibility the government has is to have a vaccine. By the end of the year, there will be nearly 18 million doses of vaccine, he added. You have to be fair about possible restrictions, you shouldn't introduce a restriction that someone feels is unfair , he said. Restrictions on the vaccinated would be unfair. I argue against closures until the last moment. If there is any restriction, it will be linked to the protection certificate. Those who have not been vaccinated should be restricted.
