A special treat for those interested and analysts: the majority of the opinion-forming French media is currently only gasping for air since, in the debate between the most prominent actors of the two political poles before next year's presidential elections, the analyst and essayist Éric Zemmour, representing the radical right, "distributed" the debate partner representing the extreme left, Jean-Luc Mélenchon (LFI).

"I won't argue with you about that." "Of course he doesn't argue: you haven't argued for two centuries: you guillotine!" - Zemmour's above-quoted response to the comments of the leader of La France Insoumis (LFI), Mélenchon, who is running for next year's presidential election, characterizes the fiery mood represented by the right-wing "scumbag", the essayist who otherwise openly sympathizes with Viktor Orbán, on the BFM TV debate show. (Zemmour participated in the Budapest Demographic Summit the other day - ed.)

In the 2022 presidential elections, Zemmour, who is debating with Mélenchon, the candidate representing the extreme left, has not yet announced whether he will also run for the post of president of the republic next year.

Many taboo topics were discussed in the debate. In public discourse in France, and even in everyday life, it is almost impossible to bring up migration in a way that does not emphasize support for migrants, and French national identity is also a topic to be avoided; it is also inappropriate to mention the former, unlimited and almost unrestrained Soviet sympathy of the French left. Zemmour, who came from a French Jewish family in Algeria (who was later forced to leave the country with his family), broke every taboo during the debate, as is his custom.

"The future of the world is creolization"

His debate partner, Mélenchon, did not hold back either: "In my eyes, you are a danger to our country, because you are a racist," retorted the leader of the LFI to Zemmour. This time, Mélenchon brought out his cane paripah, "creolization", because according to him, this is the future of France, and indeed of the world, which he supports.

In his previous statements, Mélenchon even ran against the idea that people from the Muslim world should be assimilated - according to him, this is "racism". The far-left politician is not satisfied with EU policies either: according to him, if Brussels does not accept the redistribution mechanism, then France should leave the EU. The far-left politician sees Great Britain as a state that has already freed itself from the EU.

"You called yourself a Trotskyist. But Trotsky was a mass murderer! And you, neither the communists nor the socialists, have ever distanced yourself from the mass murders of the Soviet Union. Neither from Stalin, nor from the camp in Kolyma, And they never did this to Mao Zedong's China either," Zemmour confronted Mélenchon with the communist half-past, which is rarely mentioned in France.

The debate quickly turned to migration. Zemmour pointed out that the Islamization of the country is progressing on a huge scale. "It is not the French who can do about this, but politicians like Mr. Mélenchon," he pointed to his debate partner, "that is, the left-wing elite who allowed themselves the folly of allowing millions of immigrants from the Muslim world who are hostile to the with Christian culture."

"The France you see never existed," replied Mélenchon, who said that the country had always practiced "creolization," or " . " The leader of Insoumis added that this inclusive culture "does not expel Muslims, does not force them to choose between Islam and France" .

Aren't you ashamed?

Although Zemmour is still debating whether he will run in the presidential election at all, Mélenchon declared - not in the least positive sense - that "Zemmourism" exists.

France is in a civil war, warned Zemmour, asking : "What would you call a country where a teacher is beheaded?" (Known: an Islamist Chechen youth beheaded the teacher Samuel Paty in the open street. The event was followed by a series of similar massacres.) Zemmour equated crime with jihad, pointing out that, in his opinion, a civilizational war is currently being waged against the country.

When Mélenchon regularly asked if he was not ashamed (in France it is strictly forbidden to bring up these topics), Zemmour calmly replied that he was not in the least. What's more: he believed that Mélenchon, who is no longer bothered by the "headscarf" push, used to be a republican, so now "Mélenchon has betrayed Mélenchon".

The only common point was the withdrawal from NATO, in which the two politicians found a common denominator; in relation to nuclear energy, Mélenchon brought up the installation of nuclear power plants in high heat, while Zemmour brought up wind power plants built on foundations cast in concrete, pointing out that concrete is certainly not a reusable material.

He only wants to save France

When asked by the host what vision they have for France in 2050, Mélenchon replied that urgent action is needed against global warming to prevent Dunkirk and Bordeaux from being submerged.

Zemmour put it this way: if the Islamization of France is not stopped, the people living here will gradually be replaced by another people. France will become Lebanon, a country where different communities live - and there will be more misery, poverty, more violence.

The right-wing essayist concluded: “In fact, our disagreement is about what danger lurks before us. Some people want to save the planet. I am much more modest than them, I just want to save France."

The debate flood of analysis programs with a shocked tone : the opinion-forming media elite found it difficult to process, especially on the part of Zemmour, the open raising of issues that had been treated as taboo until now. At the same time, many of the invited experts tried to analyze "the issue of security" in these programs.
