Gábor Kálomista, the producer of the political thriller Elk.rtuk, responded to Origo's inquiry and said that there is more interest in his film than the premiere of James Bond.

Based on his statement: "It was not very common that tickets for a movie were sold more than three weeks in advance, and the cinemas in Budapest operating on the basis of ideological and not professional criteria must also take this into account." At the same time, he thanked the Corvin cinema for the opportunity, although according to Kálomista: "It would be good if the management of the institution would provide Elk.rtu with the same conditions as American films". The producer also talked about: yesterday morning it looked like the new Etele Pláza would also provide space for Elk.rtu, but by noon they had already said no. In his previous interview with Origo, Gábor Kálomista talked about how the actors of the Gyurcsány film received numerous threats.

As the head of the well-known, capital-owned Budapest Film Zrt., appointed by Gergely Karácsony, Tamás Liszka previously claimed that Elk.rtu would not have an audience due to American films, therefore only one afternoon screening was allowed in the Corvin cinema during the week of the premiere. . Seeing the outrage, the one screening was modified, but only in one room and only in the Corvin, and the film was still not allowed to be shown in other cinemas in the capital.

Gábor Kálomista told Origo about the enormous interest surrounding Elk.rtuk: "Now I'm primarily happy that the Corvin cinema has done this, until now they debated whether there was a demand for the film or not, so I'm actually glad that the viewers have his word".
