The artist who played the role of the prince said, among other things, about the choice of location, that they chose this region on purpose, since the respect for the prince and the cult of the Hungarian nobility is the strongest in his homeland. He said that by staging the play, their intention is that Rákóczi should not be remembered by the Hungarian community as a fairy-tale hero, but as a flesh-and-blood person who shaped political events. Speaking about the message of the play, Imre Boráros mentioned that there is some overlap between Rákóczi's time and today.

"The worst kind of psychological breakdown is to incite Hungarians against Hungarians"

- he quoted from the play the prince's conversation with his comrade-in-arms, Miklós Bercsényi, after the defeat of the freedom struggle. According to the dramatist, what should be placed in our hearts from the play is Rákóczi's request:

Lord, you see into hearts! You planted in me the beautiful idea of living for others. The most beautiful truth, for which it is worth living even at the cost of failures .
