Francesca Rivafinoli's article from the Vasarnap.hu portal.
"I don't see the biggest danger in migrants coming here en masse, thank God I don't know anyone who has been hurt", and anyway, according to an (!) American study, the effect of large-scale immigration is "on the whole more positive than negative" , stated Péter Márki-Zay not so long ago, and then added with a minor logical fallacy: Viktor Orbán is the one who evilly installed migrants in the country, including terrorists and criminals, but quite specifically ten thousand (which of us would not be feared) .
A picture of the world emerges here, according to which, for example, the 4,488 border violators sent back to Serbia on the southern border last week could be issued a moral certificate without notice, because they have never been violent with the acquaintances of the mayor of Hódmezővásárhely , on the contrary, middle and upper middle-class people who had previously moved here as part of the settlement bond program, which was discontinued long ago Chinese people who, according to articles on opposition portals, politely knocked on Hungary's door because the air is good here and children's lives are less stressful - well, they are dangerous criminals, dare Orbán.
We, who are classified by Nemzet Listázó as "poor, kept in the dark, stupid people", naturally see the inconsistency when a politician pushes the wirschaffendas until the beginning of the campaign, and then (after Gergely Karácsony even claims that their real views on migration it will not be advertised before the elections), in the campaign he takes on the mantle of border guard Zorro , while in his statements in English he emphasizes that he would treat everyone equally, regardless of origin and legal status, and otherwise he "unfortunately" does not know the details of the new EU migration pact, so he does not comment (it would certainly be complicated to read it on the Internet and take a position). So we can't be fooled by this.
However, for the sake of those who believe and believe that if the preacher of "Christian tolerance" were to come to power, the panther would farm together with his cub, let's see what the situation is where this policy has been put to the test for six years now. Where has Germany reached now, both mentally and in terms of the rule of law, with its inclusive humanism, where there is no difference between a legal worker and a freeloader arriving with people smugglers, but instead there is "humane treatment" and care, to the point.
Thuringia. An Afghan migrant living in Germany since 2015 (rejected asylum seeker due to his legal status) entered an evangelical church built 800 years ago the other day and systematically trashed it - as if he was cleaning up trash, he took out everything that could be moved, because according to him Christianity is a misconception, Jesus Christ is not the son of God, the church and it's confusing. This and that broke during the hauling, including, for example, a medieval crucifix that was rescued from the ruins after the World War II bombings. And how did the immune system of the sensitized evangelical church react to all this? According to the priest serving in the church, the sight was terrifying, but "there is no question of vandalism", the Afghan "did not act aggressively at all" (it is quite possible that he even saluted in advance, even though he could have cut off the priest's head). That is: a fake problem, who wouldn't do the same if he was disturbed by the neighboring mosque in the Arab country hosting him. Let's not be Islamophobic, there is no question of anti-Christianity. Let's not over-dimension the thing, so to speak.
Hamburg (ring 18). The investigation into a case from last year is slowly coming to an end: a 15-year-old girl was gang-raped for two and a half hours by mostly migrant youths, and then the victim was even robbed. Although the DNA tests now clearly prove the guilt of nine young people, the perpetrators have been at large ever since (14 months now). The spokesperson of the prosecutor's office explained: they are currently investigating whether charges will be brought, and if so, at what address (no joke).
Péter Márki-Zay obviously doesn't know this girl either, and so he can easily say that he has had no bad experiences with the mass influx of starving men in their twenties and with treating newcomers as friendly as possible, but perhaps he would broaden his horizons somewhat if he talked to the parents involved.
Or at least he would look at the statistics, to check whether among the perpetrators of violent crimes the legally settled Chinese are overrepresented in Hungary in the same way as the illegally arrived Afghans are in Western countries.
But it would even be enough if the prime minister-designate, instead of sulking - see "Let your speeches be: yes, yes, no, no" - explained in both Hungarian and English that, in addition to the physical one, he would also maintain the forceful and legal border closure (or would it saw off the last two legs of the three-legged stool), and whether it would accept unknown Africans from Lampedusa within the framework of the EU's permanent solidarity mechanism, or would it prefer that Hungary take in Afghans and Iraqis expelled from other countries and try to organize that they actually go home too, see if it works out. We can guess the answers, but perhaps it would be appropriate to imagine your own voting base as well.
