Gulyás: Negotiations are ongoing with the EU on the seven-year budget and the recovery fund.

According to the minister, negotiations on partnership agreements regarding the seven-year budget are progressing well between Hungary and the European Union.

The negotiations on partnership agreements regarding the seven-year budget are progressing well between Hungary and the European Union, however, in relation to the recovery fund, the European Commission acted incorrectly when, after the adoption of the Child Protection Act, it canceled the previously informal agreement, said the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office on Tuesday at the annual hearing before the European Affairs Committee of the Parliament.

Gergely Gulyás, speaking at the meeting about the negotiations regarding the seven-year budget of the union, emphasized: he does not see any reason that would prevent them from reaching an agreement in the ordinary course of business.

Speaking about the recovery fund, the minister emphasized that the informal agreement had already been reached when the European Commission restarted the negotiations "in the European hysteria after the adoption of the child protection law". He indicated: "the main issue is still the LGBTQ issue", to which the only correct answer was given, that a referendum should be held. He added: they trust that this agreement will be reached sooner or later.
