On behalf of the European Commission, Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson will participate in a high-level meeting on the migration situation in Calais on Sunday - the EU Commission informed this on Friday, also announcing that the French authorities accepted their proposal that the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) and the European Police Office (Europol) should also be present at the meeting. - can be read in Magyar Nemzet.

At the initiative of French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin, the representatives of the EU, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany are holding an extraordinary meeting this weekend, after the migratory pressure in the English Channel does not decrease, and on Wednesday twenty-seven asylum seekers drowned in the sea. Originally, the British were also invited to the negotiating table, but after Boris Johnson's recent letter, Paris withdrew the invitation of the London interior minister, saying: it shows an unacceptable attitude. In the letter, the British Prime Minister called on the French, among other things, to take back illegal immigrants. President Emmanuel Macron called Johnson's message "surprising" on Friday.

It surprises me when we don't take certain situations seriously. The country's leaders do not communicate with each other in tweets or public letters, we are not spies, the president said.

The European Commission did not comment on the new British-French beer on Friday. As they said, they are not organizing the meeting in France, and although they want to play an active role in remedying the situation, the manner of the negotiation is not determined in Brussels. The spokesman's service also revealed that France has so far not officially requested help from the committee regarding the migration situation, but that Brussels and Paris are in constant contact with each other. In addition to the financial support, the possibility of Frontex sending help to the Channel area can also be considered. Commissioner Johansson and Minister of the Interior Darmanin also discussed cooperation possibilities by phone on Thursday afternoon.

According to official French data, this year is the most tragic year on the English Channel: since the beginning of 2021 alone, more than 31,000 people have set sail on the dangerous stretch of sea, and 7,800 of them have never reached shore.

You understand, dear reader, that the British are announcing that the French should take back illegal immigrants. They are stuck on this, even though they are an inclusive party together with the EU, but the "taken-taken" people should pull away from them.

Now that 27 have drowned in the water and this has somehow been revealed - because the previous 7,800 have not - they are standing up with great empathy, something must be done. Of course, the EU commissioner says it's not their business, they don't get involved in the negotiations, but if they need money, they give it.

It is clear that the receiving arms are only part of the role learned in the political theater. Because it can be guaranteed, no agreement will be reached at Sunday's meeting to prevent migrants from crossing the Channel in the future. Just go, don't burden our state coffers, they will help you cross safely. Because of Brexit, this is how they will take revenge, i.e. this is how the Great Colonizing Island will be colonized.
