The audience of the Madách Theater was able to see a special performance on Thursday evening. Mamma Mia! one of the songs of the play was performed by the actors of the Madách Theater together with the healthy and injured artists of the Baltázár Theater.

The joint action is Szerencsejáték Zrt. "Stay with us for a barrier-free future!" was created at the initiative of his campaign, on the occasion of the World Day of People with Disabilities. The performance, which brought the unexpected involvement of artists living with some type of disability, was rewarded with a standing ovation by the surprised spectators.

At the Madách Theater on Thursday evening, Mamma Mia! before the finale of his performance, Tamás Szirtes, the director of the theater, unexpectedly invited the able-bodied and disabled actors of the Baltazár Theater to perform one of the songs of the musical together with the actors in the play. "The spectators were treated to a moment, but the surprise turned into smiles, applause and tears in the blink of an eye." said Tamás Szirtes. "After the 400th performance, we're already used to the fact that emotions overflow at the end of the finale anyway. This time, however, the reaction of the audience was even more elevated than usual. It is a great pleasure for us that the cooperation between the two theaters was duly realized, and we are proud that we were able to contribute to the message of inclusion." he added.

The Baltazár Theater, founded in 1998, is the only theater company in Hungary where able-bodied and intellectually disabled actors play together. The institution thus fulfills an artistic and social task at the same time, and with its work creates an opportunity for disabled people to show their talent to the audience. The most important objective of the theater is to prove with high-quality performances that prejudices against people with disabilities can be rewritten. The current guest appearance was preceded by a preparation period of several days, in which Kriszta Kováts, actor of the Madách Theater and director of the Baltazár Theater, took on a prominent role. "I have been working at Baltázár for many years, during which time I have also learned a lot from them. The presence and radiance that emanates from them is truly enviable. It is a special experience for me that I was able to teach them one of the songs - the song about the wonder of music. I have been working with them for years and we have created many special performances, but we were all looking forward to this evening. I think we will never forget the fact that we were together on the Madách stage in front of the audience." - said Kriszta Kováts in connection with the performance.

The cooperation of the two theaters is Szerencsejáték Zrt. "Stay with us for a barrier-free future!" was realized as part of its attitude-shaping campaign, which presents the inspiring life paths of well-known and lesser-known stakeholders through motivating stories, thus inviting everyone to join an active, active community. "In Hungary today, one million people, people with disabilities and their family members, are affected by the issue of integration and inclusion in everyday life. The Baltázár troupe wants to create a culture in Hungary that offers people with disabilities the opportunity to live a full life." - said Zsófia Bánhegyi, the company's communications and marketing director. "For almost 20 years, the national lottery company has taken on a flagship role in the field of integration of people with disabilities, in which we assign an important role to attitude formation. A barrier-free future can be realized not only by removing physical barriers, but also by changing thoughts and acceptance. It is an honor for us that people such as Paralympic champion Illés Fanni, Lőrinc Barabás, trumpet player of international fame, and Rita Drávucz, world and European champion water polo player, supported our efforts for the cause of disability - and this time the company of the Baltazár Theater." he added.
