Ágnes Vámos was illegally appointed by II. The left-wing majority II. district self-government - according to our information, this was established by the legality investigation of the capital government office . – brought by the Hungarian Nation.
The application for the position itself was irregular, as was the composition of the committee reviewing the applications. Within 30 days, the local government must repeal the appointment, which blew the fuse at the moment of the decision, since Ágnes Vámos was previously a representative candidate of the left and is connected to the SZDSZ, so she was clearly a political and not a professional appointee.
According to the newspaper's information, the Government Office of the Capital City of Budapest investigated the II. Decisions made by the representative body regarding the executive position of District Kultural Közhhasznú Nonprofit Kft. The representative body decided on the candidates on September 14, 2021, in a closed meeting, and appointed Ágnes Vámos to the II. to the managing director of District Cultural Public Nonprofit Kft.
The legality examination of the application for the position of executive director and the decision made regarding the appointment of the executive director revealed several violations of the law. In addition to the irregularities in the call for tenders, the appointment of Ágnes Vámos is against the law, because she did not meet the special professional requirements for the head of the public cultural institution prescribed by law when the tender was submitted and evaluated.
According to our information, this is why the Government Office of the Capital City of Budapest called on II. district representative body to place the legality appeal on its agenda within 30 days and to annul its above decisions.
Known: the appointment of Ágnes Vámos, who belongs to the close circle of the former SZDSZ state secretary, Gábor Horn, already caused serious waves in November, as she came to the head of the local government institution not as a professional recognized by the profession, but as a party soldier.
Gergely Őrsi, II. the socialist leader of the district had a different opinion in the 2019 local government election campaign and promised professional management. This September, Csaba Gór, the II. the head of the Fidesz faction in the district told the newspaper that it was in vain that mayor Gergely Őrsi had promised, and in vain we heard from the left during the primary election campaign, that professionals recognized by the profession are appointed to head the institutions instead of party soldiers - in practice, it happens just the opposite.
