The constitutional lawyer said, "the anti-elite policy always promises salvation, but it has never really been effective anywhere, in fact, it has only increased the chaos." - Mandiner 444.hu podcast

Constitutional lawyer and political scientist Péter Tölgyessy explained in the 83-minute program that "the opposition parties are still very weak, but many voters have had enough of Orbán after twelve years, so there may be a chance for a change of government." But during the opportunity discussion, he said that

"the prime minister believes in his system, he is confident and creative, much more dynamic than his opponents. The opposition is dumbed down by the blasphemy.

The political scientist said that Péter Márki-Zay "is the manifestation of the world trend in Hungary: the anti-elite politician. In the primary election, he decisively defeated even the strongest opposition party." However, he explained that

the anti-elite policy always promises salvation, but it has never been really effective anywhere, in fact, it has only increased the chaos."

In the podcast, the constitutional lawyer also expressed his opinion about the Hungarian left-wing press: "This angel-devil thing is working more and more violently, that I am the angel and everyone else is the devil. I think a real, civil press could help a lot in this. […] American newspapers have the old, bourgeois journalism ethos of being objective and independent. […] We are constantly exposed because we are neither objective nor independent. […] In Hungary, this is exactly the mission of the left-wing press – if you like, the official one – even though this is actually, in my eyes, the job of a civil war press.”
