The national railway blood donation day is being organized for the fifteenth time, within the framework of which blood donors are expected at one location on Friday the 13th and on the 17th of December, MÁV Zrt announced.

As it was written, MÁV organizes the national railway blood donation day on December 10 in cooperation with the Railway Association of Public Culture and Leisure (VOKE), the Hungarian Red Cross and the National Blood Service.

On Friday, December 10, at 13 locations nationwide - in Szolnok, Szeged, Nagykanizsa, Békéscsaba, Székesfehérvár, Nyíregyháza, Debrecen, Miskolc, Pécs, Dombóvár, Kaposvár, Budapest and Szombathely - and on December 17 in Dunakeszin, railway passengers who meet the conditions for donating blood are expected, passengers and civilians who can contribute to a balanced and continuous blood supply during the holidays.

According to the announcement, the organizers of the event would like to draw attention to the importance of selfless assistance and the importance of cooperation between passengers and railway workers as the holiday of love approaches.

Those who would like to donate blood are asked to bring their identity card, TAJ card and proof of address, and as a regular blood donor, the blood donor's booklet.

Attention was drawn to the fact that due to the coronavirus epidemic, the blood donation process requires increased caution. At the locations, the specialists will do everything for safety, but the organizers draw attention to the fact that only those who feel completely healthy should go to donate blood.
