One million three hundred thousand people have so far watched the flashmob held six years ago by young people in front of the Szent István Basilica in the name of peace. The touching footage - and the message of the flashmob - are at least as relevant as they were in 2015.

In some respects, the flashmob that took place in front of the Szent István Basilica in 2015 - so six years ago now - is unusual and unprecedented. Young people with guitars in their hands prayed for peace by singing a beautiful song of praise, hundreds of people came together, while people enthusiastically followed the performance in the whirlwind of the Advent fair. After the performance, the Franciscan Order uploaded the elaborately edited video to YouTube, and they were probably surprised by how quickly the video started to spread - not only in Hungary, but all over Europe.

The flashmob remains unfailingly popular, both foreigners and Hungarians watch it, and for many it has become a lovely Advent habit. The number of French comments under the video is particularly striking, proving how far the initiative has come. It is interesting to think that many performers have since become fathers or mothers, have turned from young university students into adults. Their joint stand for peace six years ago remains a fond memory for them too:
