Because the representative of the Romanian Social Democratic Party (PSD) reacted with official rigor to the idea of the Székely identity card, which, according to SZNT president Izsák Balázs, will be the most important tool for the self-organization of the Székely people - read the announcement of the Székely National Council (SZNT).
Ten days ago, the Standing Committee of the Székely National Council adopted a draft decision regarding the Székely identity card. According to the SZNT, it is in the interest of both Hungary and Romania to maintain good relations between the majority in Romania and the Hungarian community in Romania.
Despite the above, those who initiated the introduction of the document also ask all residents of Székelyföld and Székely people living outside of Székelyföld to send their proposals to the e-mail address of the Székely National Council ( [email protected] ) or to join the Facebook page called Szabad Székelyföld group, which was created to provide a public platform for constructive ideas related to the Székely identity card.
