The Prosecutor General's Office of Hungary rejects the untrue and defamatory claims of Ákos Hadházy, member of parliament, the General Prosecutor's Office wrote in a statement.

As written,

"Ákos Hadházy gave a long interview to Magyar Narancs yesterday about the handling of corruption cases in Hungary. Similar to his previous statements concerning the prosecutor's office, almost all of Ákos Hadházy's statements and conclusions are untrue, concealing or distorting the facts, testifying to a complete lack of knowledge of criminal material and procedural rules. The prosecutor's office is consistent in conducting professional discussions in professional forums and not reacting to political accusations. However, with one of Ákos Hadházy's sentences, he sank to such a moral depth that it cannot be left without an answer."

Added:

"Connecting the tragic death of the former chief prosecutor of Bács-Kiskun County with the Simonka and Boldog cases investigated by the Central Investigative Prosecutor's Office and currently in the court stage is not only out of touch with reality, but also an expression that is devoid of any morality, offends a person of good sense, and outrages them. The Prosecutor's Office of Hungary rejects such and similar slanders, which are suitable for shaking public trust and faith in legal certainty. The prosecutor's office continues to consistently pursue crimes - in accordance with the law and objective truth."
