For the time being, all research shows that the Fidesz-KDNP government will remain, only the ratio is questionable - said André Palóc, Századvég's leading analyst, regarding the expected result of the parliamentary elections on the current channel M1 on Saturday morning.
Evaluating the year 2021, the expert said: according to the majority of the population, the government handled the coronavirus epidemic well, its measures were enforceable. The restart of the economy also went well, by the end of the year a "quite amazing economic growth" started, the analyst said.
The confusion of the opposition was visible in the left-wing primaries. Péter Márki-Zay, the prime ministerial candidate of the opposition alliance, has limited room for maneuver and does not have his own party. It is clear that DK and Gyurcsány "dictate the pace" on the opposition side, Péter Márki Zay is left with communication, but it is more of a failure.
Regarding Mayor Gergely Karácsony, the analyst said: according to the evidence of the audio recordings made public in the City Hall case, a mechanism works, the essence of which is that real estate is sold at a depressed price, which is then sold at a much higher price. This is reminiscent of the pre-2010 "Nokia box era". The City Hall case is "a gray zone issue", they haven't been able to come out of it yet, we are waiting for the details of the investigation.
In addition to the City Hall case, the mayor's activities are characterized by traffic jams, sliding projects, and scandals, his support has fallen, although Gergely Karácsony seems to be a great survivor, said André Palóc.

2022 plus:
Without casting doubt on the research results, the leadership of the Fidesz-KDNP is welcome, but one should not be complacent, especially when surveys prepared for left-wing orders call the right side the winner. In this case, it is conceivable that the voters for the civil party will be stimulated by their hypnotic income. Don't let them take the sleeping pill, which will be offered more and more frequently as the election approaches, just in case more people decide that we will win anyway, I won't bother to go vote. Yes, you will have to go and vote for sure next year.
