The preliminary summation of the party-list ballots for postal votes has been completed, the National Electoral Office (NVI) told MTI on Saturday.
318,083 voting letter packages were returned to the NVI The number of valid party-list postal votes was 264,031, while the voting documents were invalid for about 50,000 of the mail packages received. The NVI also announced that as part of the preliminary tallying, the ballots of those who voted by mail were scanned and the preliminary counting of the national list votes was carried out. After that, the votes are also counted manually. The final result will be the result of manual counting. They added: they are also working on compiling the referendum ballots for postal votes.
The NVI reminded: on Saturday, a vote counting committee of each of the 106 parliamentary individual constituencies (oevk) will be working in the polling station where the votes of those who transferred and participated in the foreign representation vote were received. These votes are counted together with the votes of the designated voting districts.
Based on this, the individual electoral district election committees of the Parliament will determine the individual electoral district result of the vote on Saturday. And the regional election commissions receive the partial results of the national list election. The results of the national list election will be determined by the National Election Commission, on April 22 at the latest, they wrote.
The number of supporters of the governing parties has exceeded three million, reports Magyar Nemzet, citing data from the National Election Office (NVI). The NVI also announced that the preliminary summation of the party-list ballots for postal votes has been completed.
According to the data from Saturday afternoon, 3,004,728 votes have already been received on the national list of the Fidesz-KDNP. This corresponds to 54.61 percent, which even surpasses the right-wing landslide victory in 2010.
