The Hungarian men's handball team can play the opening match of the European Championship starting on Thursday in front of a full house, i.e. nearly 22,000 fans.

In the ultra-modern handball arena in Budapest, the MVM Dome, which was handed over in mid-December, there is no longer a single free seat for the Hungary-Netherlands match starting on January 13 at 8:30 p.m., the president of the Hungarian Handball Association, Máté Kocsis, reported on his official social media page.

Between January 13 and 30, Hungary will host the men's handball world championship for the first time in its history, together with co-host Slovakia. In addition to the three big cities of Hungary, Budapest, Debrecen and Szeged, Bratislava and Kassa undertook the arrangement.
