According to the absolute majority of Hungarians, i.e. 52-53 percent, the left would reduce childbearing and family allowances, and raise taxes on employees and businesses, according to the 93rd representative survey of Real-PR. There are even more pessimistic expectations regarding overhead costs, 64 percent believe that they would increase if the left came to power.

Although rural residents are more pessimistic than Budapest residents in all respects, there is a large majority even among the capital city voters who expect a negative change in their circumstances from the left: 57 percent of the capital city residents and 65 percent of the rural residents said so.

Among the rural population, those who believe that the left would raise employee and business taxes and reduce childbearing and family allowances form an absolute majority with a share of 54-55 percent, while only 27 percent and 32 percent disagree.

The people of Budapest seem to be divided on the last two questions, there is only a three percent difference between optimistic and pessimistic opinions.
