A group of Green Party and left-liberal MEPs sent a letter to the Office of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the OSCE urging interference in the Hungarian elections, Justice Minister Judit Varga wrote on her Facebook page.
According to the head of the ministry, the letter of the EP representatives is full of slips and inappropriate criticisms concerning our country. We have experienced that the Hungarian election campaign started in Brussels months ago.
The goal of the European left is clear: they want to influence the outcome of the vote, Judit Varga pointed out.
However, the MEPs who issued the letter forget that the OSCE has always sent an observer mission to Hungary in recent years, there is nothing special about it, it is a common practice. As in recent years, the delegates of the international organization will be able to see for themselves a free and democratic election, added the Minister of Justice.
In any case, it is telling that the European left was not as concerned about democracy in 2006 as it is now. Let there be no doubt: the bureaucrats will try on every possible platform and use every possible means to influence the outcome of the elections.
However, we will be here, we will remain vigilant and we will not let anyone from abroad interfere in the Hungarians' decision! - stated the head of the ministry in his post.
