According to Fidesz, the "messy" healthcare proposals of opposition prime minister candidate Péter Márki-Zay coincide with the policy of the Gyurcsány government, which bankrupted the Hungarian healthcare sector before 2010.

István Hollik, the communications director of Fidesz, said in his video statement on Friday: based on the press reports of the past few days, it seems that the "designated prime minister candidate of the left" is talking "back and forth ", but also in relation to health.

He drew attention to the fact that Péter Márki-Zay recently made such an "incompetent" proposal that the eye surgeries of Hungarian people should be performed in India. István Hollik believed that such a "confused" proposal is surprising even from the left-wing prime minister candidate. At the same time, he continued, it is also insulting to Hungarian healthcare workers, since Hungarian nurses and doctors are prepared and understand their work, so they should not be insulted by not being able to perform even an eye surgery.

The communications director of Fidesz assessed that Péter Márki-Zay's "confused, strange" proposals have one common denominator: they all coincide with the health policy of the Gyurcsány government. That policy, on the other hand, bankrupted the Hungarian healthcare sector, as 600 billion forints were withdrawn from the sector, he added.

"That's why we think that the Hungarians do not ask from the politics of the past, they do not ask from the people of the past, since Hungary must go forward, not backward," he emphasized.
