In a video interview published on Hungarian Culture Day, the Minister of Human Resources Miklós Kásler said that extensive institutional development is taking place in culture, which has not happened in the history of Hungary since the agreement.

Miklós Kásler was quoted in the announcement as saying: "In a European comparison, in the last four years, the Hungarian government spent the most money in Europe to support culture in terms of GDP. Regarding the significant financial support provided to actors in the cultural sphere, he highlighted: in the case of performers, the support during the epidemic was HUF 1 billion last year, and HUF 2 billion this year.

There is no part of Hungarian culture where subsidies have not appeared

- the minister pointed out, adding that the government did not give aid to the artists, but contracted pre-financing with them.

Regarding the current epidemic situation, Miklós Kásler stated: the omicron spreads extremely quickly, the duplication period is 2-3 days. He pointed out: in France, the epidemic has reached 330,000 infected per day, and in Germany, 110,000. The number of infected people doubled overnight in Hungary at the beginning of the week, he added. Regarding the vaccination, he said: the course of the infection is faster and milder, especially in the vaccinated. The unvaccinated are at greatest risk.

They wrote that the Minister of Human Resources evaluated the current epidemic situation in addition to cultural developments and investments, but also talked about school admissions and the "lies" about the Healthy Budapest Program.

He responded to the opposition's statement that the Healthy Budapest Program (EBP) established for the development of the central region is not the government's, but the capital's:

the EBP has always been a government program and does not stop, it continues its mission.

He added: the government handed over 10.4 billion forints to Budapest 2 years ago, and 10.2 billion forints last year.

The development that took place in Budapest was done with this money, with the support of the government

- stressed the head of the ministry.
