Katalin Novák promises that she will not be an idle head of state in the international arena either, Index reports, referring to the Mandiner interview.
Katalin Novák stated in the interview that "party affiliations of candidates for the president of the republic are common both in Hungary and abroad, there is nothing new about it". According to him, the question is whether, upon taking office, the head of state is able to display the unity of the nation above any individual or group interest.
As for the female part of the criticism: left-wing politicians are constantly demanding female leaders. Now that a woman can be the president of the republic, she is classified as a puppet in advance. What is this if not contempt? Of course, it is possible that not only women are looked down upon, but also right-wing men. Without offering any substantive criticism or offering a real choice.
The former family affairs minister also revealed to Mandiner that he is suspending his party membership in Fidesz.
Katalin Novák sees that there is a fierce struggle in the world not only for material resources and for increasing political influence. We have to settle for an ideological cold war, where freedom and liberty are pitted against each other. So there is a task. I will not be an idle head of state in the international arena either.
