Today, the 7.8 million voters living in Hungary will start receiving the notification about the parliamentary election and referendum.

The National Electoral Office notifies the electors that they are included in the name list in their mailings addressed to their names. The printing of the notices started the next day according to the status of the directory on January 26, and the office entrusted Magyar Posta with sending them out.

The 7.8 million voters will be mailed to their addresses by February 11 at the latest, stating that they are on the list. If someone does not receive this, they can notify the clerk (head of the local election office), who will then issue a new notice.

Among the voter's personal data, the notice contains only the name, birth name, date of birth and home address.

The notification also includes the place and time of voting, and in which electoral district or settlement the voter can exercise his right to vote. They also indicate whether the polling station is barrier-free.

The notice draws the voters' attention to the fact that their opinion matters in who should be the members of the National Assembly, as well as in the questions submitted to the referendum - these are also included in the notice - and that the voter can express his opinion by going to the polls.

The notification also states that those who are not included in the nationality register, or who did not request that it be included in the nationalities register, can vote for an individual representative and a party list in the parliamentary election. If, instead of party lists, you would like to vote for a list established by the national government of your nationality, you can request to be included in the nationality register with effect for the election of members of parliament by 4 p.m. on March 18.

Voters who are included in the nationality register can vote for an individual representative and for a list drawn up by the national government of their nationality. If you wish to vote for a party list instead of the nationalities list, you can request this by letter or without electronic identification until 4 p.m. on March 30, or in person or with electronic identification until 4 p.m. on April 1.

Those who are not yet of legal age, but will turn 18 by the April 3 election, must also receive the notification now.
