From September, the system of the school bus network in the highlands will be organized by the Rákóczi Association. Thanks to the effective support of the Hungarian government, fifteen educational institutions, mostly scattered and operating on the language border, will receive school buses from the next school year. brought by velvidek.ma

Among others, the initiative also helps to strengthen the Hungarian communities along the Garam and to maintain the schools. The goal is to address the Hungarian families living in the area.

One of the sixteen school buses arrives at Nagysallo. "We were very happy with the opportunity. For us, this is a significant support, as our school has been operating with a critical number of staff for years. Thus, we have been looking for the possibility of increasing the number of students for a long time. The current initiative effectively helps us in this endeavour," said Gábor Tóth, principal of the Nagysalló Elementary School, when asked by the news portal.

The primary purpose of the eight-plus single-passenger buses is to provide transportation to school and take home, but it will also be used for organizing school events and small group trips.

The Rákóczi Association will initially cover the maintenance costs of the minibus for one year. Further utilization of the vehicle is covered at their own expense.

The mapping of the settlements has already begun, it is planned to visit Hungarian families about to enroll, with the introduction of the educational institution and the school bus system.
