There is a need for the unity of Christian people, which protects values and repels attacks against Christianity - emphasized the State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office responsible for church and ethnic relations on Saturday in Székesfehérvár.

Miklós Soltész emphasized after the inauguration mass of the parish church of St. John of Nepomuk in Cistercian, which was renovated with HUF 320 million government support: the protection of Christianity is a priority goal of the government, so it is natural that it supports the renovation of churches and schools throughout the country.

He added that the Cistercian presence in the city is nearly 200 years old and the abbots educated people such as Kunó Klebelsberg, Miklós Ybl, János Vajda, Mihály Vörösmarty, or Sándor Weöres. Apart from them, many thousands of young people were taught in the past centuries, so it was completely natural for the government to repay this out of gratitude by supporting the renovation of the Cistercian church and school.

Tamás Vargha, the State Secretary responsible for civil intelligence at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the city's Fideszes member of parliament, said that the current holiday has a meaning that "our community is strong, and the strong community accepted the warning and protected the church and the school".

Antal Spányi, the bishop of Székesfehérvár Diocese, blessed the building. In his speech, he pointed out: the whole of Székesfehérvár is happy that this day has arrived, as another stage of the renovation of a church of special value has ended.

Father Bernát Bérczi of Zirci, who celebrated the mass, said that during the investment the church was structurally strengthened, the roof was renovated, the shell and tin plating were replaced, the entire electrical network and the heating system were renovated, and the interior was partially restored.
