Qubit, a sub-unit of the Magyar Jeti publishing house, which also notes 444, wrote a long thesis on the fact that "In the animal world, sex between individuals of the same and different sexes is the basic state".

First, let's say a few words about the Qubit (pronounced kubit), which got its name from the quantum bit. The qubit is the basic unit of information in quantum information theory, the equivalent of the bit in quantum computers, and the portal according to its original ideas

"based on daily news feeds and news production, it interprets everything that happens on a daily basis with a scientific eye, but in a way that is understandable".

So, please, this is science at its best, which ideologically well-educated journalists thoroughly filter through their own sieves, carefully sift through, and finally serve it to the dear reader, flawlessly baked, as a source of scientific certainty. Of course, all this is done very modestly, as the meaning of the name of the portal also indicates: the basic unit of information. Although according to a friend of mine, Qubit is just an abbreviation for Kurvanagy's Irritating Repository of Bullshit Bullshit According to the article of Kreatív Online in November 2017, when Qubit was launched, it was possible to recruit a group of authors with an impeccable pedigree.

"The members of the editorial board are Johanna Rácz (formerly: ős-Index, Manager Magazin, HVG online), Emese F. Szabó (formerly: Népszabadság, Napi Gazdaság, Origo, Vs), Zsolt Bodnár (formerly HVG online), and Tamás Vajna (formerly employee of the HVG Szellem section for 18 years), they will be led by Gábor Vajda."

The article that serves as the subject of this article is written by Tamás Vajna, about whom we note that his life was almost lost when, after a summer storm, a tree fell on his car while he was "driving at a leisurely pace" on the Hűvösvölgy road. Blikk wrote about the incident, which happened three years ago:

"The father of the family has decided not to leave the incident at that, he will definitely go to court to find out: who is responsible for the fact that a tree in such a condition was not cut down, which only thanks to luck did not kill anyone."

I don't want to make a joke for the world - I really don't - but there are people who would have seen such a case as a warning sign. Just saying.

But going back to the wonderfully tendentious writing, it can be described briefly as being like pears to apples, but it makes you believe that the analogy is correct. The goal is of course clear, since if

zoologists and evolutionary biologists know about 1,500 species in which same-sex sexual behavior (SSB) is common,

then it is completely natural, normal, not deviant, since "homosexuality" can be seen in nature as well.

In addition to the fact that the author forgets to mention the number of animal species living on Earth - some researchers estimate it at 8.7 million , others at 15 million - and in the examples listed he does not highlight that SSB in the vast majority of cases is not excluded by the given individual from other , procreation with an individual of the opposite sex, he makes the biggest mistake in his conclusion, when he refers to a summary published in Nature Ecology & Evolution, which is actually just an alternative hypothesis (An alternative hypothesis for the evolution of same-sex sexual behavior in animals) , a prior assumption, i.e. a conditional statement that can be disproved or proven.

Although towards the end of the article he mentions that

"scientific descriptions of same-sex sexual behavior were without exception created as by-products of other types of research, it is no coincidence that researchers emphatically do not discuss heterosexuality or homosexuality, but different-sex sexual behavior (DSB) relationships between female and male individuals, thereby avoiding anthropomorphization" (a representation that endows abstract things, inanimate objects or natural phenomena, or plants or animals with feelings and characteristics characteristic of humans - ed.) ,

however, he concludes his thought process as follows:

"even if human and animal sexual behavior is assumed to have a similar evolutionary origin. The only question is how."

And we're local too. Ultimately, if in the case of black swans or mallards a

"chicks raised by male partners have a much higher chance of reaching adulthood thanks to the effective territorial protection and food-gathering abilities of their stronger and larger parents,"

then why shouldn't this - in a figurative sense of course - apply to poor, oppressed, homosexual men who cannot adopt as a couple in our country, at least as long as this government is in power?

I note that I sorely missed in this "scientific" fluff the discussion of the observations that prove, along the lines of specific cases, what happens to individuals who try to surround the offspring of their kind, for whatever purpose. In any case, I can't wait for Qubit's next, hopefully pioneering article on a similar topic, to see if I can finally get more insight into the rainbow everyday life of trans animals.
