'I just learned that a 69-year-old man was attacked by a bear. He is currently being treated in the emergency department. Bite marks are visible on his back and around his kidneys. His wounds are cleaned in the emergency room. He is currently waiting for the results of the tomographic examination,' Borboly wrote on the social media site. He later added to his entry that the wounded man left the hospital on his own responsibility.
According to the chairman of the county council, the man attacked by the bear escaped thanks to his companion, who managed to chase the animal away.
"Responsible decision-making and intervention on the part of the government and parliament are needed, the solution to the problem is becoming more and more urgent," Csaba Borboly's post on Friday reads.
