Distant countries are also asking for our help, Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, announced in his Facebook post yesterday evening.

As he wrote:

In the evening, I spoke on the phone with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaisankar and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, who asked for our help in opening a humanitarian corridor for their citizens to the nearest airport from which they can return home if they reach the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.

Of course, we help everyone to get home safely and soundly.

At the same time, I drew the attention of my colleagues to the fact that leaving Kiev by road is now extremely difficult, but of course they can count on our help.

Important information for those waiting at the Ukrainian-Hungarian border is that the Barabas and Lónya border crossings are open until 11 p.m. instead of the usual 7 p.m.
