In the past three days, 5,852 new infected people have been confirmed, bringing the total number of identified infected people to 1,805,898 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Most of the 150 people who died were elderly and chronically ill, so the number of those who died rose to 44,436. The number of recovered people is constantly increasing, currently 1,632,325 people, and the number of active infected people has decreased to 129,137 people. 2,745 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 117 of them are on ventilators. We are in the descending phase of the fifth wave of the epidemic, which is why the government is introducing epidemiological restrictions and the obligation to wear masks has ended as of today. In March, vaccination campaign days will continue every week at hospital vaccination points.
