According to the former EU commissioner, it is worrying that NGOs assert their interests at the expense of society.

It is contrary to the principles of democracy for various NGOs and their foreign clients to interfere in the internal affairs of certain countries, such as our country, disregarding the will of society, in which the embassies of several Western European countries also cooperate with them. Former EU Commissioner Ján Figel spoke about this on the Europeanpost.co portal, following the Hungarian Nation's series of articles exposing the manipulations of human rights organizations. The author warned: in the uncertain international situation caused by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, European unity would be particularly important, but it seems that the mentioned actors may sacrifice this for their short-term interests.

The Soros network can undermine the entire European unity with its manipulations, former EU Commissioner Ján Figel stated on the Europeanpost.co portal. The former Slovakian Minister of Transport published his serious concerns about the operation of human rights organizations in connection with the fact that a series of articles by Magyar Nemzet revealed that the Soros organizations, among other things, are working to achieve a change of government in national-conservative-led countries - including our country - and in this even some Western European embassies and the American and Australian embassies help them.

- It is against the principles of democracy that the Open Society Foundations (OSF) and Amnesty International Hungary are not elected

- actors act according to the wishes of rich, foreign donors in exchange for financial support, in cooperation with embassies - said Figel. He emphasized: foreign missions should not sacrifice the unity of the continent for perceived short-term interests. According to him, European unity would be particularly important in the uncertain international situation resulting from the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, which is strongly threatened by the fact that the embassies cooperate with NGOs and their foreign clients in spreading mistrust on the continent and inciting the division of the member states.

- By interfering in the affairs of sovereign democracies like the Hungarian one from abroad, they are also undermining the will of the voters, even though they are the only ones called to decide on the parliamentary representation and thus on the country's politics - added Ján Figel.

The former EU commissioner reminded us that the OSF even lobbied the European Commission in order to influence Hungarian domestic politics. As one of the most emblematic examples of the use of diplomacy as a biased political weapon, he mentioned that the former Dutch ambassador in Budapest compared Hungary's politics to that of the Islamic State.

Ján Figel recently published another opinion article on the subject. On Eurreporter.co, which reports on matters affecting the European Union, he warned: by saying that

the Soros organizations try to paint a negative image of the national-conservative-led states by manipulating the press, they not only subvert the electoral systems of these countries, but also end up endangering the continent's democratic system.

He knew from several newspapers and portals in Hungary, including 444.-hu and Magyar Narancs, that they operate with Soros money and that the billionaire's confidants sit in decision-making positions. Andrej Nosko, the former director of the OSF, openly stated that they have well-established cooperation with the embassies of many Western countries, and he called these foreign missions an ideal entry point to a target country where NGOs want to achieve, for example, a change of government. Orsolya Jeney, the former head of Amnesty International Hungary, also called the joint actions of NGOs with embassies politically important.
