Regarding the humanitarian transit point, István György said on Monday that only information points will operate at the Keleti and Nyugati railway stations, and those fleeing the war will be transported by buses from the two railway stations and from the Kőbánya upper railway station to the BOK hall, where cultured conditions have been created.

In the hall, among other things, food, drink, medical care, and toilet facilities await the refugees, a baby-mother corner for mothers with small children, a play corner for children, and people can get information about accommodation and further travel options, he added. The state secretary said: in addition to meeting basic needs, phone charging and internet connection are available to those arriving, and for those who would like to travel further, MÁV has opened an international cash desk in the hall, where refugees can pick up their solidarity tickets, and they will be transported to the railway stations or the Liszt Ferenc airport.

For those who only want to stay in Hungary for a few days, humanitarian organizations provide accommodation, while for those who would like to stay permanently, the National Directorate General of Disaster Management, in cooperation with the county defense committees, takes care of the accommodation.

Those who initiate an asylum procedure or apply for a residence permit also receive help locally. The National Directorate of Immigration provides them with information and, if necessary, they can also get an appointment to start the asylum procedure - explained István György.

Those who envision their life in Hungary in the longer term can also receive information about job opportunities in the BOK hall.
